The new "Mortal Kombat 2" movie brings back the bloody tournament and introduces a fresh wave of fighters from the video game series. The ending of the sequel makes some brutal choices about which characters survive and which ones meet a permanent fatality.

Among the major video game characters who die in the film's final act is Johnny Cage, played by Karl Urban. The cocky Hollywood star gets his signature moment from the games when he delivers a finishing move to an opponent, but later falls in battle against a powerful enemy.
