I personally play games in almost every video game genre, but I won't play these for some truly petty reasons. It’s fascinating how certain games can capture the essence of a genre while others, despite their popularity, just don’t sit well with me.
For instance, in the realm of role-playing games (RPGs), I adore the intricate storytelling and character development. However, there are specific titles that I simply refuse to play because of their overly complicated mechanics or the way they handle character customization. It feels trivial, but I can’t help but feel overwhelmed by options that seem unnecessary.
Similarly, in the world of first-person shooters, I find myself drawn to the fast-paced action and competitive gameplay. Yet, there are certain franchises that I avoid due to their community toxicity or the repetitive nature of their gameplay. It’s amusing how such minor grievances can steer me away from otherwise beloved genres. Ultimately, it’s a reminder that gaming is as much about personal preference as it is about the games themselves.
