While wandering through the capital city of Kuwait late one night, filmmaker Mohamed Elroz experienced a moment of inspiration that would lead him to create a unique video game. The deserted streets, illuminated by vibrant fluorescent signage, evoked a scene reminiscent of a sci-fi movie. “I saw the empty streets with neon lights and thought this could actually work,” he reflects on that transformative night.
Elroz began capturing the essence of Kuwait City through his lens, focusing on the interplay of light and shadow in the urban landscape. His vision was to blend the real-world aesthetics of the city with elements typical of the cyberpunk genre. By incorporating advanced technology and immersive storytelling, he aims to transport players into a reimagined version of Kuwait.
The project not only showcases the beauty of Kuwait but also highlights the potential of video games as a medium for storytelling and cultural expression. As Elroz continues to develop this ambitious project, he hopes to inspire others to see the artistic possibilities within their own environments.
