The beloved compilation of 1990s Disney Capcom titles, The Disney Afternoon Collection, has officially launched on the Nintendo Switch eShop. This release confirms earlier speculation that began when a rating for the collection was spotted on the ESRB website.
Originally launched for other platforms, this digital bundle brings six classic NES games to the Switch, including Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers, Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers 2, Darkwing Duck, DuckTales, DuckTales 2, and TaleSpin. The Switch version comes with a significant bonus: two previously unreleased SNES games, Goof Troop and Mickey Mouse: Magical Quest 2, expanding the package to eight total titles.
The collection is praised for its faithful emulation and suite of modern features designed for both newcomers and retro enthusiasts. Players can utilize save states, rewind functionality, and a museum mode filled with concept art and developer insights. This release allows a new generation to experience the challenging gameplay and charming graphics that defined an era of licensed video games, all available now for digital purchase.
